2021 was quite an interesting year when it comes to the winter weather, bringing everything from record highs and record lows, damaging ice storms and April snowstorms. So as the year comes to a close, we look back on 2021 and look ahead to what’s in store in 2022!
2021 Brought It All
We started off with warmer than average temperatures and a dry January for most parts of the US. But then starting January 24, the Northeast was hit with storm after storm. In February, many parts of the US hit record cold, including an ice storm in Texas that caused billions of dollars of damage. At Blank Industries, we fulfilled every order that we received from every customer, when other companies couldn’t keep up with demand. We gained a lot of new customers because they appreciated our commitment to our customers and were able to witness in real time that we say what we mean, and mean what we say. The snow wasn’t done in March and New England even saw a snowstorm in April, which more than made up for the lack of snow in January. September came with a very early snow for parts of the Southwest, and some big storms in December for parts in the Northeast. With weather always changing, almost never consistent, BI started gearing up early due to the inflationary nature of the economy, to keep prices lower for our customers. As with every other year, demand has increased our sales exponentially due to more companies becoming familiar with our Breakthrough Infusion Technology™ and the improvements that our processing brings to the ice melt industry.
2022 Looks to Bring More Highs and Lows
So what can we expect in 2022? January will bring in 2022 with lots of cold and snow, as well as sleet and freezing rain. February and March will be a little warmer, but also with plenty of snowstorms headed our way. If the pounding of storm after storm last February taught us anything, it’s that we need to be prepared in advance, so that when those storms hit, we’re ready for them! At Blank Industries, we’re excited to partner with you keeping you informed on the weather, stocked up with the very best in ice melt, and ready to tackle whatever comes our way in 2022!
